Which Wich Willow Bend Awarded Food Safety & Sanitation Excellence From City of Plano

We are very proud to announce that the Which Wich team at the Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Texas, recently received an award from the City of Plano for Food Safety & Sanitation Excellence. That means that they received the best health scores in the deli/sandwich category from October 2009 to August 2010--including three surprise inspections in August that were near perfect! We think that's pretty wicked awesome.

Trick Out Your Bag and Win Some Treats in the Which Wich Bag-o-Lantern Contest

Hey, boys and ghouls! Halloween is right around the corner, so to get you in the spirit (get it? spirit?) of the season, Which Wich has launched its first-ever Bag-o-Lantern promotion. Here's how it works. First, go to Which Wich. (That's easy. You do that already.) Then order your favorite wich, take home the bag, and trick it out with the most wicked Halloween-inspired design. Take a picture of your bag-o-lantern, upload it to the Which Wich Facebook wall, tag yourself to the photo, and get all of your friends to like it! The person whose bag-o-lantern receives the most likes will win a $50 gift card; second and third place will get a $25 gift card and $10 gift card, respectively. Visit Facebook.com/WhichWich for all the deets and contest rules. Then get wichy with it! The contest ends October 31 at 11:59 pm CST.

Grub Street Can't Wait for Which Wich To Open in LA

And, hey, we don't blame them one bit. With a menu "vastly more sophisticated" than the previous tenant, Quizno's, folks in Sawtelle can look forward to Which Wich's superior sandwich experience. Keep your eyes glued to this blog--or find us on Facebook or Twitter--for the latest news on the Sawtelle opening next month.

Vote for Which Wich in the Dallas Observer's Best of Dallas

How do you love Which Wich? Let us count the ways--starting with the Best of Dallas! If you live in Dallas-Fort Worth--heck, even if you don't--you have until September 9 to vote in the Dallas Observer's Best of Dallas 2010 readers poll. There isn't a category for sandwich shop (for shame!), but there are categories for lunch deal, restaurant for kids, dessert, and take-out. But don't say we didn't warn you: the survey is long. However, you can just vote for Which Wich and click through to submit. We won't tell.

Eating at Which Wich Is an Experience, Not Just a Meal

These are the words of our friends at The Food Channel, but we concur, naturally. We're glad to see they caught the vibe! When the crew was in town filming the Leaders With Guts series with founder and chief vibe officer Jeff Sinelli, he took them on a field trip to the Which Wich corporate store, where the crew prepared all 51 wiches. So what happened? Did they finish all 51? You'll have to read the story to find out.

Which Wich Now Open in Fullerton, California

Someone please bring us a frosty Coca-Cola, because we're parched after the summer we've had. And we're not talking about the heat! There have been so many openings in so little time! The newest Which Wich has opened in Fullerton, California (2720 Nutwood Ave., Ste. B), right by Cal State--and just in time for school to start. (Ah, youth. Someone remind us: why were we in such a rush to get out of college again?) Please pay them a visit if you're in the 'hood. They're just dying to make you a hot wich and a cold milkshake.

Which Wich Now Open in Alpharetta, Georgia

Which Wich Superior Sandwiches opened this past weekend in Alpharetta, Georgia. As you can see from this photo, they had what we in the biz like to call a grand opening! If you're in the area, please stop by for your favorite hot wich--with avocado, of course! (Isn't everything better with avocado? Or is that bacon? Or maybe both.) The new store is located at 5250 Windward Pkwy., Ste. 111, and it's open daily from 11 am-10 pm.

Which Wich Sends “Flagged” Bags Filled With Treats to U.S. Troops Overseas

Remember that little promotion called Flag Your Bag? You know, the one where we asked our guests to draw their best patriotic doodles on the backs of their sandwich bags to say thanks to our troops serving overseas? Well, we finally gathered up all of the "flagged bags"--aren't they snazzy?--and stuffed them full of cookies, brownies, and Wich Krispies. Also included in each bag was a letter from chief vibe officer Jeff Sinelli, thanking them for their bravery and service. (Aw.) Then we boxed up the bags, dropped off the packages at the post office, and blew them a little kiss goodbye.

So how did we know where to send the care packages? We asked our Facebook fans, natch, and they provided addresses for their loved ones stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. (Thank you Leah Guffey Banister, Lauren Nygard, Tiffany Rodriguez, Tina Smith, and Kathy Davenport.) Everybody keep your fingers crossed that the boxes arrive safely!

Which Wich Opens in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee

We told you we were having a busy summer! Last month we opened three new stores: Coralville, Iowa; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Springfield, Missouri. Then, just yesterday, we opened our first store in Nevada, in Las Vegas. Phew! Now we'd like to welcome the Mt. Juliet store to the Which Wich family. The Mt. Juliet Which Wich is located at 401 S. Mt. Juliet Rd., Ste. 345, in the Providence Marketplace shopping center. The store is open Monday-Saturday, 10 am-9 pm, and Sunday, noon-6 pm. It's the fifth Which Wich in the greater Nashville area. Anyone feel like celebrating with a milkshake?
